IGN Entertainment and Twitter Partner on Global Live Stream at San Diego Comic-Con 2017

For the second time in less than a month, IGN Entertainment and Twitter partner on a live stream, now set to take over the United States’ largest entertainment conference, San Diego Comic-Con

LOS ANGELES and SAN FRANCISCO, June 29, 2017 -- IGN Entertainment, the world's #1 media company for video game and entertainment enthusiasts, announced today its extended collaboration with Twitter as their official livestream broadcast partner for the 2017 Comic-Con Expo in San Diego, California.

Coming off an incredible week of E3 Live coverage on Twitter that saw an average of 2.6 million unique viewers per day, IGN Entertainment and Twitter now set their sites on San Diego Comic-Con, the country’s largest entertainment conference dedicated to the television, movie and comic industries.

IGN’s coverage at SDCC 2017 will air July 19th – 22nd, live from the SDCC show floor located within the San Diego Convention Center, IGN’s Hard Rock Hotel production space and throughout San Diego’s historic Gaslamp District. Entertainment fans will receive up to 13 hours of live coverage and IGN’s livestream will be available worldwide to Twitter's logged-in and logged-out audience on Twitter and connected devices.

IGN Live from SDCC will be hosted and produced by IGN. Coverage will feature interviews from ABC, AMC, DC, Lionsgate, Marvel, Netflix, Starz, TBS and more, including live pre and post show commentary from IGN hosts and special guests. IGN Live will also include trailers, behind the scenes footage, live interviews from the industry’s biggest television and motion picture actors and producers, the very best of entertainment cosplay, and much more.

Fans will also receive live all-access reports direct from the show floor, Petco Park and The New Children’s Museum. IGN Live from SDCC will integrate live Twitter conversations utilizing Twitter polls and questions from the Twitter audience, providing the opportunity to connect and participate within SDCC from anywhere in the world.

IGN Entertainment Expands Senior Leadership Team, Mitch Galbraith to Take on Executive Vice President, General Manager Role

San Francisco, Ca - IGN Entertainment, a division of Ziff Davis, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mitch Galbraith to the role of Executive Vice President, General Manager IGN Entertainment. In this role, Galbraith will lead IGN’s multifunctional and geographically dispersed team of over 150 people. Galbraith will be based at IGN’s San Francisco office.

Galbraith has spent the last 17 years in digital media, working as an executive both for startups and companies at scale. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Funny or Die where he was the company’s first employee and worked for two four-year periods. Between those two stints, he was the co-founder and CEO of FlickMe, a Sequoia Capital-funded subscription digital movie service. Prior to his time at Funny Or Die, Galbraith was the CEO of Insider Pages, which was acquired by IAC in 2007. Galbraith’s digital media career started in 2000 at Yahoo where he worked for nearly 6 years, closing as Senior Director of Business Operations.

IGN Entertainment and Twitter Announce Week-long Exclusive Global Live Stream Partnership for E3 Expo 2017

LOS ANGELES, April 6, 2016 -- IGN Entertainment, the world's #1 media company for video game and entertainment enthusiasts, announced today its partnership with Twitter as their official livestream broadcast partner for the 2017 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, California. Commonly referred to as E3, the week-long programs will air June 10th – 15th, live from the E3 Expo located within the Los Angeles Convention Center, IGN’s Los Angeles studio space, and LA Live. Gaming and entertainment fans will receive over 30 hours of live coverage and IGN’s livestream will be available worldwide to Twitter's logged-in and logged-out audience on Twitter and connected devices.

IGN coverage at E3 2017 will be hosted and produced by IGN. The live shows will feature all major press briefings from Sony, Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft and more, including live pre- and post show commentary from IGN hosts and special guests. Coverage will also include exclusive hands on demos, new gameplay, live interviews from the industry’s biggest game creators and producers, the very best of gaming cosplay, and eSports news and competitions.

Fans will also receive live all-access reports direct from the show floor, where this year, the ESA has re-opened the expo to the public, offering 15,000 tickets to non-industry professionals. IGN Live from E3 will integrate live Twitter conversations utilizing Twitter polls and questions from the Twitter audience, providing the opportunity to connect and participate within E3 from anywhere in the world.

IGN Entertainment and Lionsgate double their strength, partnering on exclusive POWER RANGERS Red Carpet Movie Premiere Live Stream on Facebook LIVE.
